Grace

Jeff Buckley is not a new topic by any means. His death twelve years ago has left plenty of time for people to discuss his impact on the music world. But his only studio album, Grace, seems to get better with each listen. In my opinion, his vocal range is unparalleled, and it almost seems an insult to cover one of his songs. Hallelujah, Buckley's own cover of the Leonard Cohen original, is such a masterpiece, that it should be the only version acknowledged. Buckley's voice is the closest a mortal human being is going to get to hearing what an angel sounds like.

His album is one of my few 10 out of 10 stars.
